Rafi - The legend
Have you ever been to a place that resembles the moon close enough? Today, I went out with my friends to the Bessy beach in Chennai. One of my friends shot this picture that turned out to be a cracker of a snap. Picture this – With the vast emptiness of the sea refusing to retreat, this picture shot at the sea shore very closely resembles the moon, with light on one side and darkness on the other. The sea at night describes the darkness of silence. The bright sandy surface represents the light of life. The guy (thats me) in the picture depicts the human evolution. Haven’t they heard – “Imagination is like fantasy in a fool’s paradise”. I jus’ said that!

Moon on Earth
At about two pm, as I was gazing at my pc in my office, I fell asleep. This happens almost everyday. There is a sudden shortage of oxygen supply to my brain cells at this time. Its as though I haven’t slept for months. Two hours seem like two days, as I battle to stay awake against this syndrome called sleep. Researchers say the energy level dips down incredibly at noon and rises then on. Some workplaces have dorms that help people combat this deep sleep syndrome. Some prefer to take a nap, some drink coffee and there are some who just doze off at their desks.

Deep sleep syndrome
Man, by virtue of his existence, has many desires. But, there is one that tops it all. Its the burning desire to get recognized. Be it the house or the workplace, we badly want recognition. There are two kinds of people. They are men who are working and the other being the men who are networking. So, its upto us to decide if we want to get consumed by the daily drudgery of work or if we want to meet new and interesting people. We can do both. But, can our dexterity do the balancing act? Given a choice, I would network and not otherwise.
In our daily life, we come across various kinds of people. There are some who we would want to stay connected forever. There are some whom we would want to forget the moment we meet them. Why is it so? Why is there such a disparity amongst humans? The world can be akin to a crowded house filled not only with people, but also with thoughts. The attitude of a person can be attributed to the right kind of thoughts he thinks. Positivity seems to be the need of the hour. To garner those thoughts, one has to focus from within. Growth cannot happen unless one aspires and to build those aspirations, we as people need to generate positive thoughts. The intrinsic nature of human beings is to stay positive. External influences change the way we think and behave. From the garden of life filled with people, we need to pick the roses, not the thorns.
Pick the roses, not the thorns – My narration of the blog
Garuda Dandakam is a stotra that was chanted by Vedanta Maha Desikar to invoke Lord Garuda’s blessings. In ekalavya style, I listened to Kadambi Srinathanji’s chanting of this sloka regularly and mastered it. I have embedded two audios, one by priest Kadambi Srinathanji and other one in my own voice..
I recently visted a temple that had the deity inside its sacred sanctorium. The deity is called Sri Mantra Raja Naga Pasha Amrutakalasha Garuda Bhagawan.

In Amruthapuri Ramanuja Yogavanam, we have a captivating idol of Sri Garuda with a Nectar pot on the upper right hand, the left upper hand holding the Serpent King with the lower hands in the familiar Anjali mode offering the palm leaves containing the mantras and Vedas restored from the vanquished demons.
The never never land. Why this name ? Coz people who go there are never born again. Is this land special ? Of course, yes. Why ? This abode is completely spiritual and ethereal. A place where bliss manifests to its maximum and where there is plenty of joy and happiness. Ancient texts state the existence of such an abode and have also quoted references in their texts. Why must we believe this ? We must believe this in order to cross the hurdles and challenges faced by us in life. Lets take a look at how the abode of eternity (modern science calls it infinity) looks like.
The soul stirring place is devoid of sadness, misery and people are always happy, no matter what !! See, why the name never never land…Happiness is a way of life. Firstly, the person has to place tremendous amount of faith in the existence of such an abode. Every individual’s life in this planet is for a fixed amount of time. The final moment is just a transition. If we understand this truth, we can eliminate the fear of the final moment. The soul simply reaches eternity if it believes so. As the soul thinketh, so it is.. The final moment cannot be decided by free will. Every individuals life on this planet is a predetermined cycle. We are mere puppets being completely controlled by the will of GOD. If we center GOD in our lives day in and day out, rest will simply fall in place. Trees grow faster only if we water the roots, not the leaves.
Please grow trees
Right from my childhood, I have always been inspired by space science. It’s a fact that humanity at large is been guided by an intelligence. Deny it or accept it. But the fact remains to be the same. Here is a snapshot of what the big picture could possibly look like…

- Chapter 7, text 10 Bhagawad Gita
According to Vedic science, it is believed that Krishna lived in this world five thousand years ago. Brahma got puffed up by the fact that Krishna was exhibiting super human skills and creating an atmosphere of transcendence. He devised a scheme to play a trick on Krishna . He hid all the cows, calves and the cowherd friends of Krishna in a cave. They were all put to sleep by the mystic illusion of Brahma.
Krishna sensed this and decided to teach Brahma a lesson. Krishna expanded himself into as many cows and his cowherd friends that were missing. These expansions of Krishna exactly resembled the cows & cowherds that were missing.
Brahma returned after a moment. He was surprised to see the spectacle displayed by Krishna and fell on Krishna ’s feet, apologizing for his folly.
A year had passed. But, when the cowherd friends of Krishna saw Krishna coming, they thought he had come back after a minute.
My understanding from this excerpt: There are different worlds in the cosmos. Earth is literally insignificant when compared to the zillions of universes existing in the cosmos. When man reawakens his desire to travel to other planetary systems , he is bound to find an answer to what is called as “time travel”.
